A 1-piece CNC-machined aluminum frame provides the strength needed to hold up to hard-charging trophies. It uses tiny 4mmx 6mm× 2mm bearingsWhoever designed this should look at 50 year old penns that uses brass bushings and are still going after 50 years or just use larger bearings. Buy reels with reel brands not store brands. The designers have no clue about salt water electrolysis using aluminum and stainless. Every fisherman knows those two combined in any salt environments is asking for a ruined weekend.

Lock up after 1 fishBought this combo while fishing in Destin. I caught a nice Sand Bar Shark on it and it held up throughout the fight and to the beach. However, when I tried to take my line back out, the reel was locked up and spool was very shakey inside the case. I know I taxed it with that size of a shark, but it should have lasted longer than 1 fish. I am sure it would be ok for smaller fish maybe under 10 lbs.

Good for smaller fish.Used for a few months catching small red snapper and decent trigger fish. First time against Amber Jack the reel just stopped. Not sure if it was a hearing or gears, but it wouldn't budge. Had to hand line 100 ft of line after losing the fish. Luckily had more than one rod with me.
