Junk do not buyI purchased two of these due to the prior reviews and the price for my wife and I to take salt water fishing the bays and flats near corpus we used them two days and on the second day the auto stop quit working on one of them and the 3rd ring split on the other. They constantly would knot the line when casting I will never purchase another one ever again.

Great Basspro ComboI have had this combo for over 3 years and it is the best one I own. I have pulled in a 40” red drum, 3 feet sting ray and a 6ft bull shark and 6 ft hammer head. It is still going strong and would not hesitate to buy another one.

Very cheap reelI bought this a year ago . Just wanted something cheap for my daughter that was 12 years old and not really into fishing so nothing fancy.. for small fish it was ahh decent as $30 bucks gets you.. this thing canot hold average to bigger size fish.. the gears skip and had to hold spool down with my hand to stop drag.. next time ill go and get a better built ugly stik combo .. still got the fish tho.. oh yea needs better line but thats with all combos that already bring line.

garbageI bought 4 for the family. All 4's anti-reverse failed in 3 days. 2 guide rings also came apart. Unfortunately the store I bought it from was closed when I left Atlantic City, so I never got a chance to return them. Then of course I kept forgetting to bring it with me when we went back. Waste of money.

Great for what it isBought the 6'6" rod when going fishing in Alaska. I didn't want to spend a mint on all my gear, so I figured I would give this a try while trying out the local waters fishing for King Salmon. Honestly at 35 bucks I didn't have very high hopes for it. After 3 outings the rod snapped on my 2nd cast of the day with a 1 ounce weight attached to a Spin-N-Glo. It was probably my fault due to using it unintentionally as a walking stick after being stuck in glacial silt to above my belly button. I returned it the next day and after that it has served me well. While in Alaska I pulled in a 17-20 lb salmon on an outgoing tide on a creek with a pretty good current. Through mud, dirt, and the glacial silt it has performed well. I now use it on the backwaters off the Chesapeake bay and it is still in service. Coincidentally my buddy also purchased one of the same combos the same day i did and also pulled one of the same size kings out of the creek. These rods at this price I would consider disposable as long as you can get a year out of it. For me it would have cost as much renting a rod for 7 days as it did to purchase this. Overall I am very pleased with it. The only complaints I have are that the handle flexes a good bit, and the mounting of the reel feels less than tight. The reel itself also is terrible to use with braid. I got frequent bird nests until I switched back to mono. Bottom line is that I do not regret my purchase
How many pound test of braid can the 8’ 7000 model hold and how long?

where can i find a schematic and parts diagram for the reel?
The anti reverse isnt working and i found the issue and need to order a part. It was made of plastic and cracked so now this part splits open and line runs. I tried to go thru the contact us and email customer service and was told combos set doesnt have a schematic.

Pier combo?
Is this a good combo for pier fishing? Targeting: Pompano, Blues, Span Mack?
Concerned about rod more than reel. If the rod works out and I go more than once, I will upgrade the reel. Thanks.
