A must have for me.I've used these since the 70s but these are too small and the other size are too big. Wish they would make an in-between and put a flat end on the wire where we pinch, to facilitate opening.

Speed clips for High SchoolOur Texas High School Bass Association team is in its first year of competition. Speed clips give the new anglers ease of use and quick change capabilities fishng our tournaments. I like them on my smaller top waters and crankbaits as sort of a plane to help stabilize the lure.

Best Clip Out ThereI have been using Norman Lure Speed Clips for years. They are truly the safest way to speedy lure changes. I have never had one malfunction and everybody I introduce to them, falls in love with them.

ToughClips are aggrivating, slip in your fingers when trying to open. Would go with a different product if looking for speed, used for hard baits.

best aroundI have used Norman speed clips for as long as they've been on the market, so I have little trouble, but most of my fishin' buddies have a problem opening them. They are the most secure connector I've tried.....& I think I've tried 'em all!

How much weight will a small Speed Clip hold before breaking?
Fish in freshwater and Gulf of Mexico. Love speed cllips and use needlenose pliars. For Gulf fishing would llike to know how much smalll clip will hold. I've never seen this advertised.. I'm sure many people would like to know. I am aware of the large clips.

I believe the small clips are for 20-30 lbs maximum. They are just too hard to use for me and bend out of shape when using needle nose pliers to open.

You just squeeze the end together and the part that connects to the lure opens up to be inserted into lure ring. Very easy to use.

are they good for trolling cranks?
I like to troll crank baits, I use braided line and do not like to use swivels because I think they change the action. But with the braided line it is difficult to tie direct, does anyone have suggestions?

Try a knot that pass the line through the eye twice - like the Trilene and the Palomar knot. Thanks
Palomar knot
A knot that is easy to tie and has a good breaking strength of over 90%. It can be difficult passing the line twice through the hook eye, but pass the tag end though one way first and then back. Then make the loop as small as possible and pass it over the hook. Tighten by first pulling both ends - then the tag end alone.
