Bone Crushing PerformanceAfter having bad recovery success with mechanical blade broadheads on two hogs this summer 2019 off season, I made the switch to these muzzy heads. Let me tell you something, they get the job done. My first hog in June , about 100 lbs. made it about 50 yards and dropped. Massive entry and exit wound on complete pass through on both shoulders. Blood trail was extreme to say the least. My second hog about a 40 pounder took a heart shot through the shoulder and laid over and died in his tracks. Massive blood loss again. Both were shot with the same arrow and head after re-sharpening. Shooting 2019 Hoyt Powermax at 65 lbs, Easton ST-Epic 400's, total arrow weight of 540 grains.

Good broadhead periodI got these on a whim one year and due to my job I had to give up hunting until recently. Regardless until these become obsolete I will continue to buy them or a broadhead style of similar design. This was my largest buck to date, first mule deer, first bow kill, and first deer harvested out of my home state ! To the guys who left one star reviews I think the problem you had with this style broadhead was not having the correct arrow setup. Personally, for me I've bought 6 packs of these now no issues, however I did have to rethink my arrow setup for me I started using 3 right wing 4 in parabolic feathers for better steering and control of the shaft and proceeded to walk back tune. Easily the bow broadhead turned and made a killer setup I killed this deer spot and stalk at 55yds. Might i add the shot was less than ideal but a hit to the base of the neck severing arteries and veins my setup did the job. For reference I shot a goldtip ted nugent series 300 spine weighing in at 437 grains with 3 right wing 4 in parabolic feathers with a 125 gr model phantom. Sometimes, you just gotta tweak your setup a bit and change some things to get better flight. So for those shooters who left one star reviews I would encourage you to try this broadhead or one of similar design again and do a thorough break down of your arrow setup and see if you need to tweak it. If so and you dont have the skill to do it yourself I encourage you take your gear to a pro shop. You dont have to be stuck with expandable broadheads! And be victim to hype

Unpredictable Flight PathI bought a 3-pack of these broadheads because I wanted to switch from mechanical to fixed. I went hunting the first day of opening season 2017 and completely missed a doe broadside at 20 yards. Went back to the house and shot at a target from 10 and 20 yards and was glad to see it wasn't me, but aggravated about the consistently inconsistent flight path with these broadheads on my arrows. One shot missed a block target completely. I switched to a Muzzy 100 grain 3-blade and that did the trick. My 20 and 30 yard shots were spot on. I went back out in the afternoon and dropped a button buck where it stood, significantly quartered away from about 15 yards. Now, unfortunately the broadheads broke off inside the deer, but the harvest was worth it to me. I'll stick with Muzzy, but not the Phantoms.

Worth the BuyI opted to try the Phantom out a few seasons ago and had good flight and excellent penetration on the buck I shot. Had a passthrough and dropped him. Worth giving them a shot... no pun intended!

IncredibleBeen using these broad heads for years. Pass through on a buffalo and broke multiple shoulders on deer. The only thing to remember is the blades must line up with the arrow veins to get them to fly true.
Are these Muzzy's a Good Broadhead for Turkey Huntin ?
Of course, I realize that turkey hunting is all about shot placement, but I've been searching for a good broadhead for turkey for a while now. I realize that feel (so to say) has a lot to do with the answers I may get to this question, but I simply want to know if this will provide enough penetration to take a turkey down without sacrificing all of the potential meat I may be able to get.

i wouldn't buy them at all, i would go with a 2 blade expandable or the guillotine broad heads to be honest

what do the bleader blades really do?
Asked by: number1bowhunter
the bleeder blades you can take off the head and will turn the 100 grain broadhead into 80 grain head. the head works great and killed a hog yesterday with it.
