Mustang Survival Replacement Bobbin for Inflatable Life Vests
Fitting all Halkey Roberts-type automatic inflatable PFDs, Mustang Survival Replacement Bobbins for Inflatable Life Vests are a great way to keep your automatic inflatable PFD in top operating condition. A properly operating bobbin, the mechanism that triggers auto inflatables to inflate, is key to the readiness of an auto inflatable life vest. Manufacturers recommend bobbin replacement every three years to prevent accidental inflation of your auto inflatable PFDs for recreational use, and more often for those who use their vests on a more regular or professional basis. Bobbin fits the following Mustang Survival vests: MD3087, MD3084, MD3031, MD3017, MD0200, MD3053, MD3054. Manufacturer model #: MA-9210-I.

just what I neededI only needed one bobbin to update my PFD. Most places make you buy 4 to 12 bobbins. Bass Pro Shop made a single bobbin package available. So I am happy that I got just what I needed, for a reasonable cost. Item arrived quickly and in good condition.

NOT A GOOD PURCHASETHIS REPELACEMENT (BOBBIN) FOR MY MUSTANG INFLATABLE LIFE VEST (WAS OUT OF DATE). I HAD TO CALL THE MANUFACTURER AND HAD THEM SEND ME A REPLACMENT (BOBBIN) THAT WAS CURRENT. THESE (BOBBINS) MUST BE REPLACED PRIOR TO THEIR (EXPERATION DATE). OR THE VEST WILL INFLATE WITH OUT GETTING WET...
Will these work in the Bass Pro Shops A/M 24 units that you sell?

In what year will these bobbins expire?
Asked by: SherwoodGuy
Thank you for your inquiry:
The ‘use by date’ should be listed on the back of the packaging for the bobbins. Once a bobbin has been taken out of its packaging we suggest replacing it annually or to at least do a visual inspection to ensure the white part is not starting to dissolve due to moisture/humidity which can cause premature inflation.
