Very disappointedThe performance of these radios during a recent fishing trip was much less than expected. They were purchased to replace an older set of Motorolas that had served very well for many years. The range of the new units proved to be so limited and reception so poor, that we ended up bringing the older units back out of retirement.

radio was a letdownI've used and loved Motorola radios for years. However, I can't recommend this radio. It would not hold the batteries in place and I had to reset them each time I used them.

Not sure yet. UndecidedJan 22, 2015
The set of two radios is 2 months old. I've never REALLY used it, except when my wife drove it to the store to check the range. Range was not impressive - given suburban environment.
Then 2 weeks later, I turn them both on and one of them froze and would not power down. I had to remove batteries..... I don't think this is a good thing. Would not want that to happen in the field.
I'll exchange it for a new set and we'll see then...
