Fishing lineThis line is way too thick for most freshwater reels. There are much better lines that are thinner and easier to work with

Great line!I used this line for bank lines while fishing for catfish and snapping turtles. Caught 20 Lb snapper on it, never stood a chance with this line its so tough. Don't know how well it would work on a rod though because of the thickness. I will definetly use it again for making trot lines and bank lines.

Great lineBought two spools of the 36# Mason Line at the Overland Park, Ks store last year, also on sale. Just looked like it make a good leader, which is what I use it for. I like it as a leader for it's suppleness.
I've just ordered two more spools, but upgraded to the 45#, which wasn't on hand when I made my last purchase.
A spool is not quite long enough for drift Catfishing on Milford Lake, and leaving enough back up line for a "Big One". Biggest Bluecat caught this year was an 80 pounder. Not huge, but big for this lake. As a stated, for me, as a leader, it can't be beat.

Best Fishing Line EVERI got the 54lb test line and it works great! Caught 2 fish first day I got it! Its easily visible, but doesnt affect the fish at all. Lasts a long time, doesnt stretch, and overall is very nice!

Best Line EverThis has to be one of the best lines ever. I purchased the 72 pound line. I fish for big cat and musky. If you purchase the 72 pd line make sure you bring a pair of gloves or a knife with you cause if you get ur line stuck you will break your pole b4 you break ur line. This line isn't no spider wire garbage. It don't shred or fall apart after a couple months. This line is made to last. Now for the bad part. As I said this isnt no spider wire so it is THICK LINE. So you just cant put it on any real. Will not work on any close faced real even the big cat reals. So you need a open face real. A BIG open face real in order to b able to cast out far. And the line is real HEAVY in which you will need alot of lead to cast out. I normally use a 3 ounce egg sinker I fish in the river so need it to cast out far with regular 20pound line. I have to use a 6 ounce egg with this line. Not that it is a bad thing if you use a egg the fish never feel it.
how would you set up this line? do i use it as a main line or a leader?
I was planning on using it as a main line and have a flourocarbon leader. Any suggestions?

what pound test of this line equals 25 pound mono
Asked by: catfisherman1
not to many weights to choose from but the weights you need they have ,,30# 40#and 50# i believe....i don,t even know if it matters that you use flouro or not..catfish just want to eat, they don,t care how it is served..

Does all braided line look like string?
I just got this line and I was wondering if all braided line looked so much like string, because the fish can just tell that the line is there cant they? I read that a 45 pound line is good for bass fishing using topwater equipment? Please help me out I dont really know if I got the right thing.

Braided line is known for having no stretch. It is also known for having a smaller diameter than fluorocarbon and monofiliment but having high breaking strength for the said diameter.
