The Magpul® MOE® SL™ Carbine-Length AR-15 Hand Guard combines the lightweight of a standard hand guard with modular flexibility. The slim designed MOE SL Hand Guard fits AR-15 and M4 firearms with carbine-length gas systems and the triangular A2 front sight assembly. M-LOK slots at the 2, 6, and 10 o'clock positions allow the attachment of optional Picatinny rail sections and other direct-attach M-LOK accessories for the mounting of tactical lights, slings, grips, and rail covers. Constructed of reinforced, heat-resistant polymer, with an integral riveted aluminum heat shield, and a front lip and long side extensions, the MOE SL protects the shooter's hand from heat during rapid fire and shields the hand from the hot sight assembly. The Magpul MOE SL Carbine-Length AR-15 Hand Guard is easy to install utilizing existing delta ring and round front hand guard retaining cap.

Nice HandguardI bought this for my 5.56 DPMS Oracle to replace the stock hand guard on it. The stock hand guard was bulky and would get very warm/hot during steady firing. I ran 100+ rounds through the gun with the new Magpul MOE hand guard and noticed a huge difference in the feel and little to no heat on the hand guard. I like the look of the Magpul hand guard as well. This particular hand guard also covers most of the DPMS stock gas block which I always thought looked aesthetically unpleasant to the eye. You won’t be able to add all the accessories you could add with a quad rail, but overall this is a great hand guard for what I’m doing and is a good price.

Magpul SL handguardBought this last week, looks great and feels great, wish I could say it was an easy install but it took some time and a little trimming to get it to fit around the bayonet lug on my Ruger 556.

Goodbye Glacier GuardNever cared for the stock hand guard. The magpul hand guard did the trick. I can now mount furniture of my choosing. You won't be disappointed in purchasing this.

Sweet ,but hard to installGo on YouTube and watch some installation videos before you even try and tackle putting this on.
This did require some tools because We had to remove the sling that was under the front sight and behind the bayonet lug.
This wasn't a problem for us because we have single point slings on our AR15's...but you might not like this if you use the front slight mount.
I have big hands and it is still very nice for me being much slimmer than a normal hand guard.
I have a 12 year old daughter that i am teaching to use firearms and we bought this for her because the older AR15 Upper I have had a very thick forearm and this just feels so much better for her.
We also bought the FDE color and have change out all of the furniture to change the look of this old AR I had from when I was a younger man and of coarse the Magpul FDE colors match flawlessly!

Per the manufacturer, the Magpul MOE SL Carbine-Length AR-15 Hand Guard, will fit as long as you have a “delta ring and round front hand guard retaining cap with A2 front sight assembly. Must be used with the triangular A2 front sight assembly, other gas blocks are not compatible. Factory sling swivel is not compatible and, if equipped, must be removed from the A2 front sight assembly.”

Hi, per the manufacturer, as long as you have a Delta ring and A2 front sight with a round front retaining cap you should be good to do.
