Q&A
The Limbsaver® Airtech Precision-Fit Recoil Pad features atmospheric chambers to substantially decrease felt recoil through uniform energy dissipation. Non-slip surface on the buttstock stays in place on virtually any clothing fabric, in wet or dry conditions. Once installed, this Limbsaver Recoil Pad will help reduce muzzle jump, and increase fire control so you can stay on target for quick follow up shots. The Limbsaver Airtech Precision Recoil Pad comes pre-fit for most popular models of firearms.

721Put this on my Remington 721 as a replacement to the metal one. Initially, I noticed that the size was a little off as it’s made for the 700. I was a little sad, but it didn’t look terrible so I kept it. 3 hours later I fired 60 rounds and walked out past 500 yards. NOT A SINGLE BRUISE OR HINT OF PAIN! Definitely get this.

Excellent padsThese Air Tech pads are outstanding! I have installed these pads on nine firearms (three .270's, a 30-06, 7MM, a 20 gauge SxS, two .50 cal. muzzleloaders and a .25-06) and can truly say that they have drastically improved felt recoil on all. I have replaced the older style pads on a number of those guns and my shoulder tells me that the newer design is MUCH more effective than the old style. For those checking fit, I would recommend that you NOT rely on the Limbsaver chart on the back of the package. Remove your old pad, closely measure your buttstock width and length, go to the Limbsaver website and check your measurements against their Recoil Pad Template Guide specs and then purchase the closest fit pad. Keep in mind that wood stocks of the same make and model may differ slightly in measurement depending on when they were manufactured (such as my Ruger M77's).

The first thing you should buy for your rifle. The only reason I give the limbsaver 4 stars is because it doesn't reduce recoil by 70% in my opinion. Having said that, it does reduce recoil A LOT! Before the recoil pad, putting 60 rounds down range hurt. Now that I have it installed, I comfortably put up to 100 rounds down range at a time. It hurts the pocket $$$ but not my shoulder. I would recommend everyone have one, it just makes shooting more comfortable, and more comfort = more fun.

DisappointedI purchased this for my Remington 870 Magnum. I have a rifled deer barrel to shoot sabot slugs for deer and hog, but the kick is a bit much with 3' magnum slugs and duck hunting rounds. I read the reviews and used the manufacturers recommended product for my weapon, but the original screw holes don't line up and the product doesn't line up at all with the stock. Disgusted the manufacturer didn't have accurate pad specs.

recoil padNice pad. Very effective and easy to install. Like any pad, you have to be careful FIRST....to find the correct one for the shape of you butt stock. For me & the gun I needed it for....., this worked great.

I have a Sauer s100 rifle, I need to know if any of the AirTech pad would fit. Thank you
Asked by: Cristijet
We do not carry the precision-fit recoil pad for your rifle, but if you measure using the following measuring template for the slip-on pad, you may find one that fits.

Which model number do i need for a new marlin 1895 guide gun in 45 70 with wood stock.
Asked by: GA Pilot
Per the Manufacturer - "Thank you for the email, Stephen. It could be the 10806, which is designed for the Marlin 1895. I have heard other customers recommend the 10816 for the Marlin 1895 Guide gun, too. I recommend that the customer compare the bare butt end of their stock (remove the existing recoil pad) and compare it to the templates for each of these recoil pads in order to determine which one most closely matches the size and shape of their stock. Attached are the individual templates for each recoil pad that can be printed out. "
