Description
Liberty Gun Safe Dehumidifying Rod
The Liberty® Gun Safe Dehumidifying Rod fights against moister in your gun safe, which causes corrosion. It also raises the temperature inside the safe, increasing the spread between the air temperature and dew point temperature to decrease relative humidity. The 12'' rod dehumidifies approximately 100 cu. feet. The 18'' model dehumidifies approximately 200 cu. feet.

Works greatWe bought a new refrigerator and I cleaned the old one out and use it to hold my reloading supplies in the garage. I use this rod to help keep the moisture dow and the air circulation going. It does that job great. It helps keep the temperature and every nice and dry.

Im not convinced....Before I installed this thing the temperature in my safe was 68 with RH of 50%. The safe is in a basement and I had already bought this thing with the safe so out of curiosity I plugged it in. After a week it has effectively raised the temperature inside the safe by 4 degrees F however the RH has also increased to 56%. I might end up unplugging it and leaving well enough alone.

Hope it works...I was fighting constant corrosion problems in my small safe so I bought the 12" model. Just about returned it after fighting with the junk hardware and flimsy plastic mounts that come with the heater rod. Time will tell, hopefully it will dry up my gun cabinet.

Does the jobI have a 20 cu ft safe. I bought the 12 inch model. Easy to set up works as it's supposed to. I am very pleased with the purchase.
