Buy them!I tried on several other boots prior to trying these. I was looking for a bargain...but these were so comfortable, I opened up a charge account at Bass Pro to buy myself and my son a pair. We wore them the following weekend. Walked about 2-3 miles in them and didn't have any issues.

Comfy but didn’t lastThese lasted 1.5 years of hunting before the fabric inside started shredding and they are no longer water proof. I expected more. They are very comfy, I never had and problems with walking and climbing in them.

GlennBreaking them in for a fall Elk hunt. Working around the farm for about a half day at a time and feeling good. Got these because I was so impressed with my LACROSS ARROWHEAD boots.

Quality has droppedI had a pair of the original 18'' Alpha snake boots that lasted 4-5 years of very hard use during Deer and Spring gobbler seasons here in Fl. I hunt hard on public land and put countless miles on my boots hunting and scouting so that was incredible. I received a pair of these, slightly redesigned boots for last Christmas (2017). Wore them a hand full of times that deer season and for one turkey season and they seemed to be doing ok. Not long into the 2018 deer season I had leaks where the canvas side meets the rubber lower. A little shoe goop in the separation seemed to solve that but just weeks later one boot cracked where my foot flexes, this took my last pair 4-5 years to do. And I had still been wearing the old boot on dry hunts so the new ones really had not seen hard wear at all. It seems as if the quality has fell way off since the redesign and they are not priced for barely one year of moderate use. I didn't even use them for a whole deer season combined and now I'm approach Spring looking for new boots. Just pitiful !!!
Very disappointed with LaCrosse, a company I used to buy from with confidence.

Perfect Lowcountry Hunting BootAbsolutely a 5 star snake boot. Extremely waterproof, extremely comfortable, durable, and they look good. Not nearly as stiff as other snake boots I have had before either. After around three days of wear the boots really come into their own. I have been through muddy fields, nasty brush, and up & down deer stands without issue. 100% dry feet and nice to be able to make room for my pants so my cuffs don't get shredded/nasty. They have an aggressive grip that allows me to walk up muddy inclines with confidence but just as advertised they don’t hold crud nearly as bad as traditional hunting boots. Knock my feet together a few times before climbing in the truck saves me a lot of clean up later. The fit is true to size at least in size 11 Medium. For comparison I wear a size 11 Medium in New Balance and the perportions seem very, very close. If I ever wear these out I will buy again. Highly recommended for any hunter that has to deal with snakes, mud, and briars on a regular basis. Really looking forward to using these this Turkey Season. Only improvements I can think of is to increase the size of the "lug" on the back heal to make taking them off a little easier and offering them in MO Bottomland because I like my camo to match when turkey hunting ;-). Also, that -20 claim is obviously for active use. I don't think I would want to be sitting still in a deer stand below freezing even with thick socks. BUT, they are snake boots so when it's really cold I wear insulated boots anyway; much rather snake boots be comfortable when it's warm out than warm when it's cold out.
