Rated 2 out of 5 by Irish88 from Uncomfortable as heck They’re waterproof (and I’m guessing snake proof, I didn’t try that out) but uncomfortable as holy heck. My wife stop in to get me a pair of lace up snake boots for half the price of these bricks but of course they were out of every brand but the most expensive pull up ones. Walking in these absolutely sucked and they’re going back. I ended up wear a pair of sneakers instead. Unless you don’t mind walking miles through the woods in loose ankle rubbing rubber boots I’d suggest not paying them. I freaking hate them.

These seem to be the best built with the most protection. I originally ordered them in a 13 because reviewers had stated they run small. That turned out to be false and I unfortunately had to wait an extra 2 weeks to receive my size 12 that fit perfectly. So far they feel great I can't wait to get them broken in and get that new rubber smell off of them. Thanks lacrosse these seem to be a great pair of boots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BourbonBuddy from Smaller than other LaCrosse boots I have a pair of Alphaburly 1600G in size 12, so I ordered the snake boots the same size. I had to return the size 12 snake boots because they run considerably smaller than the Alphas. The ankle area is extremely tight and the foot is also smaller. The second pair of snake boots I tried in a size 13 fit comfortably in the foot area, but the ankle area still makes it a little tough to get my foot in and out. A 13.5 would probably be perfect. Over all, just as good of a boot as all the other LaCrosse boots.

They are very comfortable and keep my feet dry when hunting the South Georgia swamps. I recommended these boots to four of my friends who all purchased a pair and are very pleases with them.

What is the widest the calf will expand to?

Example would be on a man's size 9, how wide will the calf expand to? Also, do you know the width of the ankle?
