Not worth the moneyGot this for my Birthday, set it up and it stayed connected to the internet for about 15 minutes. Now I spent more time try to keep it connected than using it. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Weather StationThis product works well with the exception of the wind sensor freezing up whenever there is rain with a falling temperature (quite frequent in this area). Also, the rain sensor has a flat bottom with the drain on the bottom. I suspect this may be a problem if water drains out of the bottom and freezes against the mounting surface. Time will tell.
I really like the ability to see sensor data from the app. That's the main reason I bought this over the station I previously used (which had not problem with the wind sensor freezing).

Lacrosse weather stationThis is the weather station I have wanted for a long time. It wasn’t difficult to assemble and start up. I am concerned about the wind speed reader if it will hold up in the extreme heat we have. It is all plastic. And plastic doesn’t last too many years it the sun. Time will tell. All in all it is nice to see the weather from my recliner.

LaCrosse Weather StationEasy to install. Like having the rain gauge a separate unit.

So Far So GoodI bought this for my husband for Father's Day and he really likes it. I gave it 4 stars because it was kind of a pain getting it to connect to our WiFi. We do have a dual router so we had to go in and rename our 2.4 gHz in order to get it to connect. From doing that, we also had to go and reconnect all our security cameras because of the name change. I think this weather station should be able to work with both 2.4 & 5 gHz. Other than that, we really like the system. The display panel is very clear and colorful. So much so, that it almost looks like a detailed picture - very impressive! It seems to be very accurate. We are waiting for it to rain (not that we need more rain anytime soon in Nebraska) to see how the rain gauge works. I would definitely recommend this weather station - but make sure you have 2.4 gHz labeled separately from the 5 gHz if you have the dual router.
UPDATE: Please note that when weather station is connected to WIFI (see owners manual for proper connection, and displays National Weather Service data) in the Wind Speed Section, it will read:
NWS Wind Direction (The words “NWS Wind Direction” will appear, and the blue circle will change to indicate wind direction.)
This weather data is also available to view through La Crosse View app on your smartphone/tablet/laptop when WIFI connected.
The wind sensor only reads wind speeds: current, top, with history data as It does not offer wind direction. Only with WIFI connection, does the weather station read NWS wind direction.

Is the clock auto adjusting for daylight saving time?
Asked by: Samiamtk
Time is manually set if operating as standalone weather station and would not adjust.
If connected to WiFi, the weather station will display according to internet calendar and time and would adjust for Daylight savings time.

Will this work on a 5 ghz router? As per the review above I don’t have a split router so I can’t configure it for a 2.4 ghz. The review of the product said it would not work on a 5 ghz
Asked by: aprilinparis02
The station itself cannot accept 5GHz Wi-Fi bands that most dual-band routers offer
