Best purchase EverNot only did these soles work as described, they performed on very slimy rocks like i was hopping they would. I would highly recommend these studded soles if you need sure footing on slippery rocks or surfaces and want to stay on top of the water!

Use ONLY With a Wading StaffThese are good for descending a slope outside of the water, but as far as extreme wading conditions not so much. Maryland does not allow felt so I was looking for a substitute sole that might replace the reliable felt sole. This is NOT that replacement. If you are in truly extreme wading conditions ALWAYS use a wading staff with these soles. Failure to do so will result in you getting very wet. They work OK for average wading surfaces like streams with small stones or sandy bottoms.

Woderful!I just got back from fishing 2 weeks on the Kenai River in Soldotna AK for Sockeye run. I felt that I had very secure footing standing on moss covered rocks, even with 5 knot river flow! Much better ( and legal now ) than the old felt soles!
