Kimber® has gained a solid reputation for manufacturing highly accurate M1911-style pistols, offered with a wide range of custom features direct from the factory. The Two-Tone Pro Carry II Semi-Auto Pistol has a slightly shorter barrel than a standard M1911 for enhanced concealability, though the full-size grip reinforces shooting control and utilizes standard 7-round, 1911 magazines. An aluminum frame keeps weight down to a minimum and resists corrosion from carrying the pistol close to the body. The carbon steel slide has a matte black finish to further minimize corrosion, and rear cocking serrations facilitate loading and clearing the weapon. The match grade barrel and bushing are both stainless steel. An extended beavertail grip safety protects the hammer when carrying the weapon cocked and locked, while minimizing hammer-bite to the web of the shooter's hand while firing. Smooth/checkered rosewood grip panels and a checkered main spring housing provide a solid, non-slip hold. An aluminum trigger is factory set to break clean and crisp for precise shot placement and enhance control during rapid fire. Durable, fixed, low profile sights provide consistent point of aim, with minimal interference when drawing or holstering the weapon. Rated 5 out of 5 by Laneub1 from Great Pistol I ordered this pistol as my first 1911 for 2 reasons; 1st Kimber name, and 2nd the price. I had an issue at first with the magazine sticking in the gun, but after putting it in and out several times, I loaded it and went to the range. I shot 100 rds. my first time out without a single malfunction. I found the pistol extremely accurate, however, I am not in love with the factory sights. My vision is not as crisp as when I was younger and will have to change the sights out to something more visible, as I have had to do on all my other pistols. The gun is easy to conceal and has the same footprint as my KAHR CT40 so I can use the same holsters. I would certainly recommend this item to a friend.

It's slim and the aluminum frame has the weight very low compared to other 1911's. Shot 200 rounds without a single mishap, don't expect to see any problems with this one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by KimberDoesNotCare from Kimber Covert Camo Grips NOT AS ADVERTISED The digital camo they are putting on the Crimson Trace grips is a different pattern and style than what Kimber advertises in their stock photos. And you can't just mark it up to "randomness" of camo. Look closely at these two photos and compare them to Kimber's stock photos. It's not as attractive as the stock photo camo pattern. This pattern would look great on a shirt if I was going clubbing or to the dance studio, but not so good on a weapon. Kimber and their customer service rep, Landon, refused to admit there was a change in the pattern compared to what is being advertised and refused to exchange the grips (even at my own cost). Great customer service at Kimber too!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by freddog1 from over priced junk i was told that this gun was hand fitted at the kimber custom shop and that it had more attention to detail put into it. the gun would not even chamber a round. it kept jamming and getting caught on the feed ramp. i was sling shotting the slide, using the slide release, and neither would work. the round would only go partially in then i would have to beat the slide to get it into battery. i did this for 160 rounds hoping that it might start to show signs of getting better but it never did. also the finish on the frame is chipping off in several places. not due to beating the slide just due to a poor finish. i just think when you pay a premium for a gun it should actually function and the finish should hold up for more than one day at an indoor range.i was so disappointed i almost threw the gun in the trash since it cannot be returned and was just a huge waste of money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hansel106 from Kimber Custom CDP II 4" The quality of this pistol shows as soon as you pick it up. The checkering on the front strap offers a great deal of grip. The pistol has very tight tolerances and needs several hundred rounds put through it to break it in. In the first 100 rounds I had 2 FTF on the last round of the magazine. Both times the round actually fed, but the slide didn't go into full battery-I contributed this to the break in period. The only thing I did not like is that the pistol comes with one factory mag. For this price I feel that Kimber could have supplied at a minimum 2 mags. I bought 3 Kimber ProTac mag. I liked these mags as I could add a small plastic grip extender to the floor plate of the mag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JLBri from Great 1911 I own several pistols in 9mm. They are all fine firearms, well made and dependable. But, nothing fits my hand and shoots like a 1911. And the Kimber 1911 is tops in quality, finish and dependability. I highly recommend the Kimber 1911 for home defense and concealed carry. One can't go wring with a Kimber.

Rated 5 out of 5 by terdog from PRO CARRY 2 45ACP Shoots great right outta the box. I had 1 FTE at around the 150 rnd mark with 75 rnds between cleanings. Wiped it down and it got back in the groove. I added some Hogue grips and it just feels great. Everyone who shoots it says that its a great shooter. My 21 Y.O. daughter runs about a buck 30. She runs this gun like nobodies business. The 1 issue is the "tool" for take down. My Para 3" WARTHOG doesn't need anything special to field strip.

Thank you for your inquiry. California compliant pistols can hold no more than ten rounds, this pistol is 7+1 for the .45 ACP, and 8 rounds for the 9 mm.
