Kimber Open Country Bolt-Action Rifle in TrueTimber O2 Octane Camo
Kimber® developed the Open Country™ Bolt-Action Rifle for hunting predators, deer, and antelope at long range over wide open spaces. The 24" heavy-contour barrel maximizes rigidity, while 6 deep flutes keep weight to a minimum. The barrel comes threaded with a 3-notch, thread protector cap; Kimber's KimPro II corrosion- and scratch-resistant finish protects the barrel and receiver from the elements. A match-grade chamber, button rifling, and a pillar-bedded action work in unison to achieve the rifle's maximum accuracy potential. The stock is made of reinforced carbon fiber, and comes finished in TrueTimber® O2 Octane® camo, a versatile multi-environment pattern that uses contrasting light and dark colors to disrupt the human silhouette at long distances. The stock features a semi-beavertail fore-end, offering a wide, flat-bottom for resting on natural object, and the fore-end accommodates a fold-up bi-pod well by attaching it to the dedicated bi-pod swivel stud. The Open Country bolt-action rifle is built on the Kimber 84M stainless steel action that utilizes a Mauser claw extractor and a 3-position wing safety. The trigger is adjustable with a factory setting of 3–3.5 lbs. An oversize, teardrop-shape bolt knob offers more surface area for reliable operation. The internal box magazine features a hinged floorplate. The Kimber Open Country Bolt-Action Rifle holds steady and shoots straight to deliver precisely placed shots at maximum field ranges.
