Terrible Sight, Even Worse Customer ServiceAfter a few months and couple hundred rounds through my Gen 4 Glock 23, I began to look for aftermarket sight options as many Glock shooters do. Not wanting to break the bank with over $100 night sights I opted for the HiViz front sight for my Glock. And was that a mistake! Upon opening the package it came with the front sight, screw, and 2 replacement viles. I field stripped my Glock, then using my Glock front sight tool I removed the stock front sight. I put the HiViz sight on the top of the slide, then inserted the screw into my Glock front sight tool. The screw head was too small to fit into the front sight tool and was not magnetic. After finally balancing the screw to where it would screw into the sight it would not thread into the sight. After inspecting the screw it was too small to go through the hole in the slide and into the sight. So I tried the Glock factory screw because it was noticeably longer, and the packaging said nothing about needing either screw. The Glock factory screw went straight through the bottom of the sight. Went through the vile, and broke open the top of the sight. Upon my discovery that I had been provided an insufficient product I went to contact HiViz through the customer service form on their website. After filling out that form 3 times I have not heard anything back. I have attempted to call multiple times (I have honestly lost count how many times) only to have an answering machine tell me that their customer support mailbox is full and I can not leave a message. I am still waiting to hear back from HiViz to get this issue resolved, but save yourself the trouble and spend the extra money to get a quality set of sights from a reputable company.

Nice Front SightInstallation was easy. I used a 3/16 nut driver, it took less than 2 minutes. You'll need some blue or red loctite to make sure that the nut won't back out. I left the red insert in and it appears much brighter at the range than the standard white dot. I'll be buying another for my other Glock, and probably another for my XDM. ok IFI found the sight to fit my Walther P22 3.4 barrel but would not work on the 5" target barrel-due to interferance with the set screw on barrel stablelizer.

Taurus 24/7Says it will fit the Taurus 24/7 and Im sure it does but will no fit the Taurus 24/7 G2 model, Rear sight on G2 is not a dovetail Novak type so this sight is a NO-GO for this model, too bad because the stock sights stink.

great valueWhile this is not tritium, it is a great value that works with even the faintest bit of light. Just a little bit of background light illuminates the tubes very well. the sights are tough and fit well. I use this system on a long barrelled GP100 as well.

Will this fit a Springfield xd, and how does it attach?

At this time, BassPro.com does not stock a sight compatible with the Springfield XD series handguns. As for installation, the method varies by handgun model, but HiViz does recommend working through your local gun smith, as they'll have the knowledge, tools, and expertise to make sure your sight is properly installed without damaging either the sight or your handgun.
