Designed and tested under the harshest conditions, Glorope Polypropylene Glow Water Rescue Rope was originally made for water rescue missions that involve descending in the dark. Not only does it glow in the dark and have a high tensile strength, but it will also not absorb water, which means it's buoyant enough to stay on top of the water. Although this rope began as a piece of specialized search and rescue gear, it has been found to be quite useful while hiking, camping, boating, and more. This Glorope offers low stretch and great abrasion resistance. It is 3/8" in diameter, it weighs only 2.94 lbs. per 100', yet it boasts a tensile strength of 2,133 lbs. If charged in direct sunlight for 1 minute, or 1 to 10 seconds with a flashlight, or for 5 to 10 minutes under ambient light, this rope will glow vividly for 8 to 10 hours. The Glorope Polypropylene Glow Water Rescue Rope is UL- and N.F.PA.-approved, and it meets all requirements of the U.S. Military specification MIL-R-24050-D.
