Frankford Arsenal Wet/Dry Media Separator
The Frankford Arsenal® Wet/Dry Media Separator is ideal for separating both wet and dry tumbling media from brass cases. A perforated sifter, with 2 handles and a rugged rubber latch, allows media to fall through into tub, while retaining cleaned brass. The sifter is housed inside a spill-proof, polymer tub that captures water, dry media, and stainless steel pins. The bottom tub has mesh strainers to prevent losing stainless steel pins when draining water, and the tub top also includes a mesh strainer to rinse brass of leftover cleaning solution. Just turn the handle(s) on the Frankford Arsenal Wet/Dry Media Separator and the strainer basket turns, leaving the brass in the basket while the media drops into the tub. Manufacturer model #: 507567.

Best Media SeparatorI wish I would have got this a long time ago! I have been doing dry tumbling for years and just separated the media by hand. That took forever and now I'm starting to do wet tumbling which has a little more process time. With this media separator, I was able to separate media from approximately 100 pieces of various brass in under a minute. It easily removed the media from bottle necked cartridges as well. I went with this media separator because it is priced very competitively compared to other products and because of the straining screens on the lid and on the bottom piece for easy separation of stainless media and water solution. The ad is misleading because the picture doesn't show the unit with the lid on it and the ad mentions buckets that will fit this unit, leading they buyer to think this is Frankford Arsenal's older model that is lower quality. This ad is for Frankford Arsenal's model #507567, not the older/crappier model. I've seen reviews where people complain or question the integrity of the handles, but for proper media separation, you would never crank hard enough or fast enough to break them. The handles are plenty sturdy if used correctly. I highly recommend this media separator - for wet or dry applications.

not recommended for dry mediathe bucket needs to be deeper when using dry media.the media stops the rotation of the basket.also, the handles flex under the weight of a full basket.might not last long before something comes apart or breaks

This thing worksI got so tired of shaking out dry media from cleaned cases by hand. Then I bought a liquid tumbler, and I really needed a good separator for the tiny steel pins. Well, this Frankford Arsenal media separator works great with wet or dry media. A simple but well thought out piece of equipment. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is I'm waiting to see how it holds up.

weldonThis is my first time using a wet tumbler. I can't believe how clean this tumbler gets the brass. The brass looks almost like new inside and out. I love this machine.
