With the FN® 509® Midsize MRD Optics Ready Semi-Auto Pistol you get full-sized performance in a midsized carry package. While most of the industry would call this size a compact pistol, FN is more accurate in calling it midsized. Featuring a cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel with a recessed crown, and a polished feed ramp and chamber, this pistol promises optimal accuracy and ultra reliable performance. The slide features aggressive slide serrations for improved manipulation. The slide also hosts an external extractor and a loaded chamber indicator. The short, easy-concealing grip is textured for enhanced shooting control, and it has interchangeable backstraps for customizable comfort. Other features include a MIL-STD-1913 accessory mounting rail, improved flat-face trigger, and ambidextrous slide stop lever and magazine release. A low-profile, high-visibility front sight delivers intuitive acquisition. The FN 509 Midsize MRD also features an optics cut slide with plate adapters allowing for over 10 optics.
