Eliminate the worry of your tip-up being run over with the Firehouse Tip-Up. This highly visible, pyramid-shaped ice fishing device features a high-powered LED light bank with 9 programmable sequences; it can be seen from up to half a mile away, day or night. Built-in freeze protection with nothing extra needed to cover a 10" hole. Collapses into a small tube for easy storage and carry, while also offering protection. When collapsed all hooks are secured and protected inside with a magnet to eliminate tangled tip-ups. Standard tip-up operation, except that instead of a flag popping up to indicate a bite, the attention-getting Firehouse light takes over! Uses 3 AAA batteries (not included).

It worksI've used this for 2 years now and it works fine. I like the bright LED lights for night fishing, and they are still bright enough to see on a sunny day. Only issue I've had, is even if I bank the bottom edges with snow, on cold days the ice hole will still freeze over. I wish there was a way to insulate the hole with this. Otherwise, it's a fancy tip up that works!

Good thought bad ideaBought this tip up as it looked great for pike fishing since it was tall and would cover the hole. First, I was able to see with it being so tall what would keep it from belowing away in the wind. They should make a loop to use an ice cleat to make sure the wind doesn’t take it for a ride. Seconds the lights that can be seen so far away fail at a very short distance. I was maybe 70 yards from the tip up and could not see the lights going off. If your doing late night fishing then the lights would be great. Used it once and never saw the ice again.
