Q&A
The Inshore Series Casting Rod from Duckett Fishing is built with sensi-touch blanks made from multi-modulus pre-pregs (pre-impregnated composite fibers) for an extremely lightweight and durable rod. Strength to endure the rigors of inshore fishing is enhanced with a low-res carbon combination for the perfect strength to weight ratio. Each blank is halo-sanded for a stronger, lighter rod that lets you feel every bump and bite. The rod construction produces a true parabolic bend for lightweight presentations without sacrificing power. A patented Kigan® guide system reduces line twist; and the guides are plasma ion coated with Zirconia inserts to resist saltwater corrosion and reduce line friction. The tip is titanium plated for added strength and anti-corrosion. A triple coated thread wrap also reduces saltwater corrosion; and the proprietary carbon reel seat has a titanium-coated hood. The Duckett Fishing Inshore Series Casting Rod has a Triple Grade A cork handle, providing all-day comfort and a positive, non-slip grip.

Great kayak fluke rodI purchased the 7 foot medium heavy rod and paired it up with an Abu Garcia Revo Inshore Low Profile baitcasting reel and it’s an amazing combo it pairs perfectly! I used it out of my kayak today and jigged up 15 small fluke on a 1/2 oz Spro bucktail with gulp swimming mullet. The rod is so lightweight with this reel I can cast one handed flip it right out jig one handed and it’s easy to feel the fish bite the rod has the perfect balance of backbone and tip action/bend to it every hook set gets you excited. Also caught a nice little 18” bluefish. I’m waiting to see how it’ll do on some bigger fluke and will also use it for schoolies. It makes a great light action rod and I don’t doubt it’ll bring in some good size fish without any issues. The rod looks great and feels great in the hand I love the cork grip setup, the hook keeper is great, reel seat everything is pretty good. There is a super tiny rust spot at the foot of 2 guides where it must not of been 100% sealed, but my $260 Shimano Terez Waxwing has the same issue and it’s nothing to worry about. I do rinse my gear with freshwater after hitting the saltwater. I’d buy this rod again. Also checkout Ducketts Ghost rod it’s amazing it was how I heard of them and it’s my favorite freshwater bass rod.

Excellent bang for the buckThe Inshore Series rods perform excellent. It is my opinion in todays market, $139.00 is fair for a quality rod considering many rods cost far more. I have used both the spinning and casting models weekly for tournaments and practice. Light, powerful, very comfortable to fish. Tip action is excellent in both the medium and medium heavy series. My spinners are rigged with Penn Conflicts and my bait casters with ABU Garcia Inshore reels. Perfect match. I would highly recommend these rods.
Tight Lines!

Good Rod - But........I purchased the 7ft Medium-Heavy casting version of this rod for inshore fishing (reds/snook) and paired it with a Concept E reel.
I've had it for approx 6 months now.
The rod seems to have plenty of backbone as I have landed numerous Jacks @ 24-28' and pulled pulled them up without any issue.
I love the tip of this rod, as it throws and looks (skinny diameter) like a medium. Plenty of snap to get the smaller weights out there at a decent distance.
The reason for the one start off - I have minor rust build up around the reel seat and all eyelets. I wouldn't expect this from a $130 rod geared for salt, and I don't have this issue with any of my other inshore rods.
At this price range and the historical company interactions with broken rods, I would consider again, but would probably go with St. Croix first.
Hope this helps.
