Q&A
The Daiichi Klinkhammer Hook uses a continuous bend design for tying suspended or crippled emergers. Its oversized design accommodates both the "dry fly" half at the front, and the sub-surface shuck half at the rear. Straight eye, 1X fine wire. Color: Black Nickel. 25-Pack.

I am wondering what the sizes run like on this hook?
I found the other ones Bass Pro offered previously ran 2-3 sizes large - in that a #20 hook was about right to tie a size 14 - 16 Klinkhamer-Style Fly.

The Daiichi 1167 was designed by Hans Van Klinken, and proportionally, the shank is shorter than the Partridge hook used in the past to tie this pattern. The size 14 is the smallest size these are currently available in, but were the most perfect shape for a CDC and Elk emerger. Plenty of shape and no awkwardly long shank.
I recommend trying these - the size will look a lot more familar to American tyers - European hook sizing is at best, very subjective. Hook quality is excellent and the dark nickel finish keeps the focus on the look of the fly.
