Nice HookThis style of hook is very good as the fish usualy gets hooked in the corner of the mouth resulting in easier hook removal. Also the red colour seems to entice fish into bitting.

Great Hooks, Not-so-Great PaintThese are great hooks - strong, sharp, and nice design. I used these hooks in size 5/0 with live bait on 50 lb. fluorocarbon leaders during a recent fishing trip to Clearwater Beach and I caught six nice black-tipped sharks over a few hours. The circle design worked great as all six sharks were hooked in the corner of the mouth and were easy to release.
The big negative - all of the nice red paint wears completely off the hook after the first fish! The manufacturer needs to come up with a more durable paint!

Only hook I use for live bait.Everything from Brown Bullhead Catfish, Mangrove Snapper, Redfish, Snook, Grouper, Talapia, Porgy, Flounder, Largemouth bass, I've caught all these and more on these hooks and they have never failed me. It takes a little getting used to not setting the hook but in the end the results are great. These are the sharpest hooks I've ever used and they are just totally awesome. If you just rig it up with a good snell knot they will bring fish up again again and hook em good too. I normally use live shrimp with them and hook it through the tail but worms work good as well along with baby pilchards. I normally use a 2/0 size hook and I've caught a 36" snook on it as well as other large gamefish. Also if your having trouble with your fish swallowing the hook this is the hook you need to buy because the way a circle hook works is the fish swallow the bait then the hook slides out of their stomach and gets hooked in the side of their mouth. Overall a must have in everyones tackle box and these are the only hooks I use. Also one other cool thing is that the hook actually wears kind of like the razor you use to shave with. So when all the red falls of you hook its time to change because the point isnt as sharp and these hooks never rust either. Great hook. Buy it. You'd be dumb not to. :)

Best HookI was using eagleclaw razorsharps and swithched to these. I found these hooks to be much sharper and less fish getting off. This is the best hook Ive found for those santee cooper cats.

Great Hook For MangrovesI use these hooks when fishing for mangrove snapper in the Keys. Seem to get more bites and hook more fish with these hooks than others.

favorite circle hookThe circle chunk light with stop-gap. I’ve used at least 6 different circle hooks and have found these the best. I like that they are in-line, have extremely sharp points that stay sharp and hook and hold fish. Last spring I landed an 83 pound Black Drum after breaking off the barb on one of the ten large dogfish sharks already caught on the hook. We’ve caught stripers, drum, dolphin at high catch rates than with j-hooks and almost all are in the corner of the mouth.
Are these Daiichi Circle hooks larger or smaller than Mustad Circle hooks of the same numbered size, 5/0 in this case?
I know that they do vary between different companies.
