About your Cocoons lenses:
Gray provides natural color definition, eliminates glare, and is ideal for general use in bright light conditions.
Amber allows 14% light transmission and enhances depth perception by increased contrast in normal light conditions. Popular for fishing, driving and general use.
Yellow allows 27% light transmission which provides maximum contrast in low light conditions such as dusk and dawn.
Copper allows 16% light transmission and enhances contrast with truer color definition than amber.

color of lensI like the cocoons, this is my second pair. My only complaint is the Yellow lenses are not as depicted. I expected a Yellow like shooting glasses, but they look green. What you get is not what the picture shows. This is not a Cabela's problem
as the cocoon package depicts the lenses as Yellow.

Permanent Lens smudge after one month of use.I bought these Coccoons flip sunglasses about a month ago. I had been looking for this type of sunglasses because I can't bear wearing contacts for too long with sunglasses because my eyes dry out very quickly.
These sunglasses worked great. I wore them daily and took great care to be gentle when putting them on and taking them off.
Unfortunately, the left lens developed a smudge in the middle of the lens that would not come off no matter how many I tried cleaning it with a microfiber cloth.
I'm returning these glasses and exchanging them for the exact same king and hope that my first purchase was just a dud.

Best fit I ever foundI have search everywhere for the best fitting polarized lenses with no luck. these fit my glasses perfectly and are light weight. they don't distort my vision and provide a sharp clear glare free view while dry fly fishing. I bought a second pair to have around the house.

Ordered the yellow lenses but they look more brown
I ordered the yellow lenses and just received them in the mail today, the outer packaging clearly says "yellow" but they look nothing like the ones I remember seeing in the store and nothing like the yellow on the website. I was wondering if anybody else ordered the yellow and received a brownish lens.

When I worked in retail, I ran into this type of problem often. The light in the store is different from the light on your monitor; both of which is different from the lighting in your home. Yellow is one thing, amber is another. Amber does tend to look brownish in some light conditions. The question is: do they increase contrast on cloudy days?
