Caldwell Wind Wizard II Wind Speed Meter
The Caldwell® Wind Wizard II™ Wind Speed Meter gives shooters the ability to compensate for wind drift while in the field, according to varying wind conditions. The wind blowing bullets off target causes more misses in long range hunting than perhaps any other factor, and without a wind speed meter it is extremely difficult to allow for. The compactness and portability of the Caldwell Wind Wizard II enables you to have it with you at all times; and its ease of use enables you to quickly get an accurate reading of wind speed. The Wind Wizard II also gives you the temperature in Celsius and Fahrenheit, and gives wind speed in mph, ft/min, km/h, m/s, or knots. A removable non-slip rubber sleeve protects the unit and provides a sure grip even with gloved hands, and a lanyard ensures the unit is always within reach and won't drop to the ground. The Caldwell Wind Wizard II Wind Speed Meter is an ideal tool for varmint and predator hunting, pronghorn and deer hunting in open country, or for use with sniper rifles. Runs on 1 CR2032 battery (included), and has an auto power shut off to conserve battery life. Manufacturer model #: 102579.

Wind wheel brokeSo I was out Antelope hunting and it was a nice day. Later in the day the wind came up and I was carrying my Cladwell Wind Wizzard II around my neck. I held it up to get a wind reading and turned it on. Waiting to see how many mph the wind was blowing I realize the whole wind wheel was totally gone. It had feel out somewhere along the way. I had this item less then a month. I took very good care of it and was never hard on it. Thank god I wasn't shooting far and needed to know what the wind was blowing because eI would have had to guess. This is the worst item I have ever bought from Caldwell. I do not recommend anyone buying this. There is better wind meters out there.

It works, but not for longBot my unit on Friday and took it to the field on Saturday. The battery door it of cheap plastic and will not close snuggly enough to keep contact between the battery and the connections. When you try take the door off and reinstall the battery you can already see that the battery door threads are already gone.
Don't waist your money.... You'll do just as well using Kentucky windage. I will try to return the item.
