This worked fantastic for making ground deer jerky.The dual tube sucks as one side plugs giving intermittent streams of meat. I stopped using it and just went with the wide flat tube and I couldn't be happier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Krun120 from Well worth it Just got this this for my birthday. Cleaned and processed 20 lbs of deer for jerky. The construction is all metal with a plastic pull tab to pull up on. The tube to hold the meat in is metal there is a metal rod that pushes the plunger down which is made of both metal and plastic. Both end caps are plastic. The handle is metal. I am thinking of maybe putting some flex steel on the handle or something for a more softer grip. Think I could live with it for now. It comes with a plunger and funnel which are plastic. As for the attachments. The double sticks I don't like at all. One side will stop then the other side will stop. I solved this problem by stuffing some freezer paper in one hole and only using one side. Did the same for the double jerky attachment. I really love the 9 inch because if you fill it up I could get 12 snack sticks per tray on the dehydrator maybe more. So one full tube equals one tray. Perfect size for someone who is going to process up to 15 lbs of deer at once.

The problem with them is they are difficult to clean, ground meat gets inside the body and the internal parts rust. I bought this one because the mechanical parts are not covered. One of the first things I noticed is this comes with a 1.25" tip, for a little wider jerky, and my others did not. This one feels a lot more durable and is easy to clean. I have been putting it in the dishwasher, the others you could not do this. I have made deer and elk jerky using ground, no problems at all. The entire unit is metal, except for the black screw on caps/end pieces.

My jerky looks professionally made, that actually made few ppl thought I had store bought jerky. All those attachments works great, except the dual narrow jerky extruded. It works great but cleaning it is pain, since the head can not be removed from head holder. Some meat might get stuck in there. (Might be removalsble, but I don’t want to force it!) other than that, it’s a great kit!!! Side note: get a tube of eatable silicone grease! not the spray one... it will prevent rust, and lube the metal...

I have only used it once but it made nice flat ground beef jerky. I need more practice to perfect it, but had no problems with the mixture being hard to get thru the extractor nozzle, maybe since I read directions on the seasoning mixes to add water it helped! Clean up was simple and ready to use again. Well worth the money!

Comparable quality products are out there but with a sales price and a few runs am very pleased at the Value! operates smoothly and is very rigid gun. Only quirk is this little thin plastic meat plunger that reminded me of my kids squeezable bath toys - really? That hit the garbage on batch run #2 as was useless. But, if you are processing meats then likely you ( as I) have alternatives to this infant-use only accessory. more importantly to me was the gun and its pressure points, I found no leaks and seals are thick, tight and look to last a reasonable life. Toss the plunger, the gun is what you are buying

Thank you for your question! This includes four stainless steel extruding nozzles (single snack stick nozzle 1/2" dia., double snack stick nozzle each 1/2" dia., single strip nozzle 1/8"x1.25" and double strip nozzle 1/8"x1" ), a loading funnel, a meat stomper and a cleaning-brush kit.
