A great valueI just bought the 10x version of these to replace an older pair of inexpensive compact binoculars. I love the light weight and compact size, plus the strength & rigidity of the mounting bridge between each tube for good alignment. The rubber coating provides a nice feel and grip. My old binoculars developed a slight eye to eye mis-alignment double image problem plus if I moved my eyes left or right a tiny bit, the image went partially black. I think it's due to the small exit pupil diameter or rear lens shape. These are very forgiving in that respect and I don't have to lock the binoculars to my head as firmly to keep them properly aligned to my eyes. 10x is a lot of magnification and I was afraid the image would be shaky but thankfully it's not an issue at all and these are comfortable to use. Maybe I should have tried the 12x ?. The center top has a small adjuster knob for right eye focus & has a red index marker. It works well and the image is clear & sharp with good brightness for such a small binocular. The light weight allows you to use them for a longer time before tiring. I plan on using these for target spotting at close range where they can stow in my gear bag, days at sporting events, hunting, and general farm use. They will be kept in my glove box daily, thus the need for a compact pair. You can't use them if you don't bring 'em. I have a heavy pair of expensive full size 10x and tend to leave them home rather than lug them around a sporting event. Even the box and case are great quality, the soft case has padding and is very nice looking with a belt loop. The shoulder straps are a bit tough to thread through the tiny loops on the binocular. Once you get them started, pull them through with pliers. Melt the ends on a 45 deg angle if they are frayed at all & squash them flat.
