You get what you pay forBoots arrived with a few nicks and scratches. A seam on the tongue separated as soon as I tied up the lace. The sole is unusually narrow on this boot, I can see how it would be easy to twist an ankle on rough terrain. The laces are pretty thin, and won't last long.
If it weren't for Cabelas really good sale price + free shipping, I'd send these back immediately. Considering that I got a super good deal on these, I figured I'd used them as camp shoes. I suppose they'll do a good job kicking the burning wood back in the fire, and I won't feel sorry for them once they're done.
Given the circumstances, I am OK with these boots. Nonetheless, I would not recommend them to friends.

Really decent boot!Only had them a couple days.....fit is really good, and no break-in issues...comfortable and no blisters. Haven't been trekking on any mountains with them, but have been walking fields/bush etc., they seem decent so far. I've waterproofed them myself so no complaints about that. They're not $300+ hikers, so I know what I've gotten vs what I've paid for them. Pretty good product all things considered!

Blew the boot within a weekBought this boot a week before rifle season. Once in the bush I did a fair amount of walking trails. On the last day of my trip the entire right heal came off, leaving an awkward trip back to camp. Not worth it.

Questionable QualityPurchased a pair of these boots in December 2011. Had to return them in February 2012 for less than great quality. Wore the boots about a dozen times and the stitching in the tongues came apart in both boots. Having said all that Cabela's was quick to replace as they have a lifetime warranty on their branded products. I can't question their customer serivice, it was outstanding. I received my new boots today. I will update again after wearing them for a similar amout of time. Boots are very comfortable and the price was great. Fingers crossed that it was a one off problem.
