Fluted for less weight, greater surface area for faster cooling, and more rigidity, this free-floating barrel with recessed muzzle crown gives you more with less weight. Both the bedded action and performance barrel feature a non-reflective and corrosion-resistant Smoked Bronze Cerakote® finish to better stand up to extreme conditions. Browning's Feather Trigger enhances potential accuracy by providing a clean, crisp pull with no take-up and minimum overtravel. Bedded in both the front and rear, the proven X-Bolt action offers an extended bolt handle, a short 60° bolt lift that cycles smooth and fast away from the scope, and a bolt unlock button that lets you open the bolt with the top tang safety in the safe position. An Inflex Technology recoil pad on the Sporter style composite stock works with the radial brake on the barrel's belled muzzle to reduce recoil for greater control on follow-up shots. (Threaded barrel features 5/8"-24 suppressor-ready threads and is compatible with Browning's Recoil Hawg muzzle brake, which is sold separately.) This performance stock also features an adjustable comb system that offers up to 1" of height adjustment to help keep your eye in perfect alignment with today's large diameter, higher-powered, long range scopes. The rifle's detachable, rotary magazine feeds cartridges directly in-line with the chamber, instead of feeding offset as with conventional magazines.
