Special OpsBought this camera instore because the Browning Strike Force Extreme, which I had planned on purchasing, was soldout.First I set it over my waterhole in the timber, took great, clear pictures set on the Rapid fire setting. I then moved the camera to a clover food plot. I tested it here upon setting it up and found I had to be within 25' of the camera to get it to trigger. Even tested it when walking into a stand in the dark, no pictures. The detection range, as previous posters have stated is poor. So I'm now trying this camera on the Timelapse mode over the food plot. If that's not to my satisfaction, I'll return it for a higher end camera.
I know how to hang and run cameras also, been doing it for years and working as a guide in Iowa/Missouri couple years ago when I would setup, run and check 50 cameras over a combined 4,000 acres.
I gave this camera 2 stars because it did take very clear pictures at the waterhole and it's a Browning.

Poor detection range and sensitivity to movementBought this unit and tested by placing on tree next to driveway. The camera would not take a picture until I got within 25'. I ran numerous tests, walking horizontally across front and directly to the camera, and the results were consistent in that you had to be within 25' for the camera to take a pic; same thing at night. The camera was placed 3' from ground, per OEM, and directly pointed at area, so no confusion here. Not what I expected, and I recommend spending a little more for a better model b/c browning does make some excellent cameras once you move above entry model. I have 10 or so strike force or better model that are still good and going for years. Trust me, I run cameras all years and do fairly well during hunting season. Don't waste your time or money on this camera.

DisappointedI bought this camera in the store on sale. I have two other Browning Trail cameras a strike force and a spec ops that both work great. I was looking for an inexpensive camera to leave in areas where I have had other cameras broken. I tested this camera by walking directly up to it during the middle of the day and at night. During daylight it wouldn't take pictures when I was beyond 25' away. At night the detection range was similar but the pictures were very blurry until I was within 15'. I am very disappointed with this camera. Spend the extra few dollars and get a strike force, but don't bother with this one.
