Outstanding lureWhen you kayak fish, you waste a lot of fishing time if you travel from place to place without a line in the water. So I troll, but in our weedy river it's not easy to find a bait that won't hang up in the grass. This little guy rides above the weeds and catches fish instead of salad greens, and it catches lots of fish.

Great wakebaitGreat lure. Bass smash it. As far as the hook tangling, I encountered that as well when I first started fishing with these. I just removed the front treble. Problem solved. It didn't effect the performance of the lure. If anything it made it better!

Tangle ProneI've used and praised the Bomber A series cranks for years so was really surprised by the tangle issues I've had with the Shallow.
Some flaw in the lure's design causes the front hook to frequently line tangle when it hits the water ,,,line composition and diameter doesn't seem to matter.
I thought maybe using a different style hook might fix the problem so switch out the front with a VMC Barbarian which may have helped some.
The next option might be to go down a hook size or use a snap,,,but neither are very appealing especially since there are better shallow crank choices available.
