Q&A
Bett's® Old Salt Deep Hole Cast Nets boast one pound of lead per foot. Durable webbing holds the net open better and longer for deeper targets. Webbing is sewn into the net to last for the life of the net. Old Salt Deep Hole Cast Nets are properly designed to work. Their simple, effective design uses mono construction with 3/8" mesh. True woven webbing is more durable than the tape used on many ordinary nets. Nets have a 50' hand line. Includes instructions.

Best Net EverAs a striper tournament angler and a part time guide in Central Texas catching shad is important to my sucess. These nets truely are a game changer when it comes to catching bait. The webbing , or girdle as we nicknamed it, helps open the net up on the fall allowing you to cover more water deeper. Unlike most nets that start to close as soon as they hit the water this net continues to open. Very well built and will be purchasing more.
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately the Bett's Old Salt Deep Hole Cast Nets does not come in a 14" mesh.

Would this cast net with webbing be good for shrimping for Florida summer shrimp?
Asked by: Zimmo
As a rule you want the largest mesh size that will catch the bait or fish or shrimp that you are seeking to catch. This is because the larger the mesh size the faster it will sink.
Mesh Size = Bait Size
3/16" = 1 - 3"
1/4" = 1 - 3"
3/8" = 3 - 6"
1/2" = 6 - 9"
5/8" = 9 - 12"
3/4" = 10 - 12"
1" = 9" & Up
Look for a Minnow Net 3/16" or 1/4".
Thank you!
