The barrel is made using Benelli's proven Crio® technology: each barrel is frozen to -300°F to relieve stresses caused by hammer-forging and to create an even-grained surface with less resistance against wads and shot. To handle recoil, the M2 comes with the ComforTech® 3 recoil reduction system. By splitting the stock diagonally and using shock-absorbing chevrons, the entire stock absorbs recoil – not just the buttpad.
