A member of the Blue Class of everyday carry and outdoor knives, the Benchmade® 583 Barrage Folding Knife uses a proprietary, spring-assisted Axis® mechanism to deploy the blade with lightning speed and securely lock it in place. The 154CM stainless steel blade sports a drop-point/tanto tip and a hybrid plain/serrated cutting edge with 58-61 Rockwell hardness and corrosion-resistant coating. Ambidextrous thumb studs allow right- and left-handed users to rapidly open the knife. The rugged, ergonomic, synthetic handle sports strategically placed indentations to ensure a secure grip.
