Bass Pro Shops Quick Draw Spinning Reel
Ready to step up to spinning gear? The Bass Pro Shops® Quick Draw Spinning Reel is a great place to start! It's made tough, to handle whatever comes, yet you'll love the way it feels and handles—and catches fish. The Quick Draw is built on a sturdy graphite frame that's both tough and lightweight, and features a graphite spool as well. The 2 ball-bearing drive delivers smooth, even winding that makes it easy to control your lure. And the Bass Pro Shops Quick Draw Spinning Reel's 32-point multi-stop anti-reverse greatly reduces backplay in the handle, so you can set the hook with authority when the time comes. All at a price that makes fishing even more fun than ever!

EXELLENT for the price!!!I bought this and a Shimano IX Spinning Reel - IX1000RC for two rods I use to teach kids how to fish. Unexpectedly, this Bass Pro Reel is infinitely better than the Shimano (which I am returning). I have many $100 reels that I use for serious fishing, but don't hesitate for a second buying one of these as an extraordinarily serviceable reel. In fact, as I think about it, buying one of these per year vs a $100+ reel every 10 years might be a 'reel' option. DN.

Fishing reelI paired this with a collapsable rod, that fits perfectly behind my truck seat. Works better than I expected it to. Very smooth and quite.

Good Buy!!The QD 20 and the QD 30 are the same reel. I thought the 30 would hold alitte bit more line. The spools say the same thing, 10 lb. 150 yds. Still great reels for the money!!

JunkPurchased for last year trout season. The drag freezes up. I suggest you spend a little more and get something that works.

Well, it’s cheapAfter all of the gleaming reviews I have to inject some reality. This is not a good reel. It is a cheap reel. If that’s what you’re looking for then go for it. But here is the downside. The antireverse is far from instant. The bail is stiff and difficult to close. The drag loosens and tightens at its whim. This reel does fulfill the primary objective of reeling in a fish. If that’s all you need then it’s a great price. Otherwise spend a bit more and get a better reel.

A barginGreat reels for the money. I had some old rods I wanted to get ready as loaner rods for family and friends that visit our lake house. I got the 10 and 20. The 10 is great for a lightweight rod. The 20 is about the same size as my Shimano 1500 series reel, a nice fit on my old 6 foot rod.
If you need some reels for kids these are great. Even for yourself if you are one of those once a year fishermen.

Would this reel go good with a 5'6 ugly stick light elite
Asked by: Bassman92
Hi, the Bass Pro Shops Quick Draw Spinning Reel Master SKU: 2220094 would be a good option for a 5'6" Shakespeare Ugly Stik Elite Spinning Rod. Just make sure you match your line weights. Thank you!

what size and amount of line does it use
Asked by: stupid6619
I believe the reel comes in 4 different sizes and reel capacities. I think you can refer to the bass pro shops product page to see which one best suits the type of fishing you will be doing. I am using the QD30F. It was the same sized reel as the QD20F except for the spool capacity. The QD10FG if I recall correctly had a smaller body and the QD40F wasn't in stock at my store but that's larger than I would want to go anyway.

Is this reel approved for saltwater?
I'll be rinsing it off with fresh water after each use, but I want know if it's still a bad idea. I have a Shimano IX 4000, around the same price which is approved for saltwater.
Asked by: digiRAMbo
Cant say if this "approved" or not for saltwater, but the reel is made from graphite/composite. The only metal parts are the bail and of course the screws. IMHO this would be more likely to stand up well to the salt/corrosion than some other products made from metal/aluminum.
