The bestI have bluegill fished for over 40 years with every kind of bobber or float you could imagine. Started using these about 10 years ago and I love them. They are super sensitive and I always catch more bluegill than anyone fishing around me. Folks are just fascinated watching me. I use a light weight spinning reel, an 8 or 9 foot rod, the 3 inch balsa float and live crickets. I nail then with this setup!!

Good BuyIn short these are perfect for my little one. Don't forget the stoppers.
I have a 5 YO daughter that has shown interest in fishing. I never got a instruction when I was little started fishing in my preteens and it was straight to Bass fishing. Panfish is a far easier task to fish for. So we used a jig and the plastic bobber that comes with typical kits. Major fail, I spend so much time fussing with those and they would cut the line.
These work without a hitch our first time out. If you don't know you need stoppers in order for them to work. I really don't know why they don't come packaged with them (this would be my only flaw). The stopper goes on top to set the depth and while casting the bobber slides down to your hook or bait to make it easier to cast. I will purchase these again.

Slip FloatsA friend of mine have always tried to get me to switch from the weighted bobber to these. I finally decided to give it a try, and I must say I will use these floats every time I fish. I'm sorry it took me so long to try them.

FloatsThese floats are way too big for what I wanted to use them for which is crappie fishing. Couldn't tell online how small or big they were. Just a wast of $$ if you ask me. Can't think of anything I will ever use them for. Didn't even open the package so if I don't misplace them around the garage I'll try and remember to take them back when and if I ever go to the Nashville store

Super float!This float works very well! And they last like you wouldn't believe! Used them in saltwater, fresh water, and they still work well! I have had the same floats for the past five years, and they are still working! Great product!

When you add the bobber stops, do you need above and below?

No just above, the hook, weight or whatever stops it at the bottom.

How to attach?
How do these attach to the line and what keeps them secure on the line so they don't just "slip" up and down the line? Is the line threaded thru the float from bottom to top or from top to bottom?

Line slides through the middle, you need bobber stoppers for to set the depth.
