The Bass Pro Shops® Power Plus Trophy Class Trolling Casting Rod is versatile, ruggedly constructed to last, and economically priced. This is a great downrigger rod well suited for both freshwater and saltwater fishing. A 2-piece fiberglass blank makes the Power Plus Trophy easy to transport. Double-footed, stainless steel guides hold up to hard work and resist corrosion, and the aluminum oxide inserts reduce line friction for smooth operation. A graphite reel seat with cushioned stainless steel hoods keeps reel securely in place. The Power Plus Trophy Class Trolling Casting Rod utilizes EVA grips that provide a solid hold and comfort.

Rated 2 out of 5 by The reel JB from Not impressed with the guides When the two I ordered arrived to my house the end guide insert for one of the rods had fallen out and was laying in the bag. Instead of doing the smart thing and returning them right away, I decided to try to make it work. The insert pops out every time I fish, it would be worth spending twice the money to avoid this..

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dimitri from Outstanding stick Been using this rod for a couple of seasons on the Great Lakes chasing salmon around, and am very impressed with the versatility and value. Have several on my boat serving as down rigger, dipsey, and planer board rods. They work equally well for all situations. Recently hooked into a ginormous King off a dipsey diver mounted to one of these rods, and the strain from the takedown would have broken a lesser rod. Finally brought this big HOG to the net 47 minutes later, and this power plus did its job perfectly. Bravo BP.

For the last 12 years I have used the Power Plus 8'6" medium action trolling rods exclusively. Hands down the best rods I have used. Economic and very dependable. No reason for anyone to spend more money on high priced rods. I run 14 to 18 rods at a time, and put them thru 50 days a year on average.
