Q&A
The Bass Pro Shops Power Plus Trophy Class Casting Rod is versatile, ruggedly constructed to last, and economically priced. This is a great general purpose fishing rod, well suited for catfish, stripers, pike, and some light saltwater fishing applications. A 2-piece fiberglass blank makes the Power Plus Trophy easy to transport. Double-footed, stainless steel guides hold up to hard work and resist corrosion, and the aluminum oxide inserts reduce line friction for smooth operation. A graphite reel seat with cushioned stainless steel hoods keeps reel securely in place. The Power Plus Trophy Class Casting Rod utilizes EVA grips that provide a solid hold and comfort.

Great bland handle too shortI bought the 7ft casting rod rated for 4oz. I love the action of the blank. The handle is too short. A power rod like this should have a handle you can tuck under your arm. It is 5-6" too short. Anything you might want to crank in will be more difficult compared to rods with a longer handle. If the handle was longer this review is an easy 5 stars.

trophy plus rodsBeen using these rods for four years, I use them a lot to. Have only had one break and that was because my buddy ran into it with his boat. I have landed several fish over 20lbs with no problem. I'm sure there are finer rods on the market but for the price these rods are extremely hard to beat. I use the 7.6 med heavy and heavy action rods,
