The Bass Pro Shops® No Roll Sinkers are ideal when fishing rivers or lakes with heavy currents. The teardrop-shaped No Roll Sinkers' low-profile holds your bait in place when other types of sinkers would otherwise get caught in the current. No Roll Sinkers can also be employed during high-wind conditions. Slip style sinkers which are great for catfish fishing.

It's a Sinker!I use 2oz for rivers and 1oz for lakes/stillwater with the standard "slip sinker" setup so I can liveline with or without a bait clicker type reel chasing catfish. They're made of lead, they sink to the bottom, they work. Only 4 stars because you do have to clean the holes on some of them out of the package. Use a very small file or old pocket knife to round out the holes on the ones that are not smooth. Once this is done, I've never had a line cut or break due to the weight. Match up the weight of the sinker to the water (current) you're fishing in and you should be good to go. If you like to do projects, tinker or use these a lot, get a sinker mold and make your own, more cost effective that way. If one package will last you a season or two, buying these is fine.

The Bass Pro Shop Angler Bait CastersI would not buy another one for anything. I bought two or three at once thinking they would be good for catfishing.
One of them was messed up, when I took it out of the box. The level wind wouldn't move in it's track. The other two lasted most of the first year, before one of them wouldn't work.
I then stareded thinking I bought them the frist year they came out.
So the next year I tried one more. I didn't even get line on it, before it stared making noise.
Won't be buying any more.

Good sinkersGood sinkers. A good selection of weights for various applications that are very reasonably priced. I got them during a free shipping event so that was a bonus for sinkers.

No roll, sharp inside edgeRead the reviews and was skeptical. Bought them and sure enough, they work well enough in fast moving current. However, the inside edge of the sinker ( where the line slides through) is rough and at times sharp. It started to fray the braid and mono lines I use for cat and walleye fishing. I used a golf tee to "poke" in and smooth out the inner edge. I won't be buying these again.
