Outstanding ValueI paired this with a Kastking Centron 500 spinning reel. I got the 7'6" and I couldn't be happier. The reel seat is not a problem whatsoever, the tip is super sensitive. Caught 8 in 2 hrs first time out. Casts nicely with light tackle - you won't be disappointed.

Excellent rod!I bought the 7.6ft rod and my goodness for $20 this is a steal! The action is so sensitive you can feel the wobble of a kastmaster or each revolution of the blade spinning on a roostertail! Casting was easy and with the flex of the rod light tackle was flying! Catching fish on this rod was super fun from the small brookies with which I could feel each shake of their heads trying to rid the hook from the large wild rainbow that kept my rod BENT! People have said they have problems with their reel seat but mine was fine and once I figured out how to properly use it I had no fear of my reel popping out. To use the reel seat start by moving both of the metal washers to the bottom and attach your reel into its seat at the top. Once the top foot of the reel is snug in its seat hold it there with your finger and raise the first washer up to the reel and bring it up as high into the bottom leg of the reel as possible and get it snug and flush with rod (yes for most reels it will be metal on metal but deal with it, your reel isn't a car) Now that your reel is attached you can start spinning the other washer up. Make sure the first washer is as flush as possible and once you spin the other washer up tighten it and you're good to go.

Excellent rod for the moneyI bought the 7'6" rod about 4 years ago and I haven't had any problems with it. I have caught a lot of bluegill,perch,crappie, and trout on it. I'm looking at buying a 6' one next.

Reel seatLove the rod itself however the reel seat is no good tried 3 different spinning reels ended up making shims to get the reel to hold tight

This is old school, and I love it!Do not be fooled by its price. I searched long and hard for this glass rod, a whisper from the past. Before there was graphite, there was fiberglass. I am a diehard micro lite fisherman, 2 lb. or 4 lb. test line. My mentor taught me to use 6 lb. but settled for 4 lb. My choice of bait is 1.5" skirt, #6 hook 1/16 oz. jig head and 5:1 reel with 7.5 ft. rod; brook and stream fishing will go #6 buried in a night crawler, using the worm stringer (hollow stainless tubing with beveled tip), works every time. Switch to shorter rod and reel for brooks, streams with heavy brush. The 7.5 ft. on lakes for sunfish, perch, crappie, and walleyes (6 lb.line) working the skirted jig head off bottom. Am the only fool out there catching fish using above approach, while others are casting for the bigger fish. So if you like to eat panfish like bluegill, perch, walleyes, brook trout, etc. give it a try and past on the skill to the next generation. Yes, I might lose the jig to larger fish but I am not after them in the first place. You have a good one, and always pack it in, and pack it out. Note: 1/16 oz. jig head #6 hook is getting harder to procure; may want to consider casting your own if you become a diehard. Of course you may want graphite, but like I said, am good ol' diehard and passing it forward.

Incredible rods for light tackleIt is nearly impossible to beat these rods for throwing super light tackle without going to fly equipment. I use them for chub and panfishing, and with practice, even jigs down to 1/64oz can be casted a respectable distance, and they make any fish a blast to fight, all the way down to bait fishing for chubs and shiners. My only knock on them is the reel seats... they have a terrible habit of coming loose, but a wrap of electrical tape, or dab of locktite cures that.

not a dock shooterI have several of the 7'6" rods I use for trolling and night fishing and they are good for that. I bought a 5 footer for dock shooting but it could not hold up and only lasted a few trips before it broke.

good rodI have the 6'6" rod mated with a pflueger president 6925 spinning reel. I got this combination to fish crappie and pan fish. Its a good rod with a whippy action, but it has good strength to bring in whatever you catch and cast lures a good distance. Its a fun combination to fish with.
I would prefer handle A, but I don’t see how to select that.

Do these Glass rods have a " Full Flex " or " Slow Action " as you would call it on a fly rod, another works does the whole rod flex when a fish is on?
