Rated 4 out of 5 by Bigcoyotekiller from Seat pedestal It is definitely made for long legged people. I'm 6' and use the second up from the shortest setting. I will probably take it apart and shorten it a inch or two so my wife could use it if she wanted. As it is now, she would need a step stool to get up and the Fire Department to get her down. Also the plastic clip on the bottom of the post is very strong and would be pretty hard to remove the pedestal without removing it. I removed the clip and reinstall the retainer screw so as not to loose it. The pedestal works great, very secure so the clip really isn't necessary.

Rated 3 out of 5 by bgiff from Sits very high! Purchased this around a month ago and installed two of them on our pond boat. The pedestal does not go low enough for me to put my entire foot on the floor. I can keep my toes on the floor only. I removed both of them and cut the top part of the pedestal off, roughly 4-5" and drove the plastic piece out of the end of the cut off piece. Once out i inserted it back into the pedestal and the height is perfect. I gave three stars just because of the height. If you don't cut them off they would be fine for someone that is 6' tall or more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wtbone from Less than 1/2 the cost of that "other" brand This is a pedestal mount for leaning bac on with a butt seat. It's not designed to be used as a sit down chair style pedestal which is typically shorter. The height adjust is plenty for what it's designed for. Awesome product for way less than the other brand.

Little loose so I wrapped the black connector pole with a layer of electrical tape, problem solved, nice and snug now. I'm 5'8 and the post fit well if it's on the smallest notch. Don't see me adjusting it any higher. 4 stars because only time will tell how they hold up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by juhgffrff from needs improvement The pedestal post works great,I'm 275 lbs. and is very sturdy, the only problem is it needs one or two more holes so you can get it a little shorter. The post is on the lowest setting and I'm 6' tall and my feet are 4" to 5"s off the floor when sitting on the seat. I can just barely reach the foot pedal for trolling motor.

This is the real deal when it comes to comfort, how high the seat goes, and ease of use. This product is amazing and I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a new pedestal.
