Q&A
One of our most popular soft plastic baits! The Bass Pro Shops® Humpin' Toad stirs up frenzied topwater action with paddle feet that really whirl and twirl. Just toss it onto a pad, crawl it off, let it sink a second, and then reel it in. More times than not, you'll stir up a big bass bonanza! Soft belly makes it easy to rig with a double-prong frog hook. Flavored with 8up™ scent attractant.

effective and durableBought a package of the Green pumpkin/Pearl belly and fished them on weighted swim bait hooks through lilies and over matts and couldn't be happier with the results. Did not seem to experience hook up problems but giving a good pause and reel down before setting the hook is a must. Makes a lot of noise when burned back on the surface ( more than the zoom toads) and makes a good search bait. Plus they are durable enough to catch multiple fish on them.

Hookup ratioI got these a while ago and used them at a local pond this summer. That pond is very good for frog fishing. I have caught fish on every other frog I have thrown there. I still got blowups on these but no hookups. I switched to a strike king rage toad and caught fish. The plastic on these is too stiff.

HorribleI had very high expectations for this lure but there is no action and the plastic is very stiff. I would not recccomend this to anyone.

Lots of funGood bait! The only problem i have with it is keeping the green top side up on the bullfrog color scheme but overall still a fun bait and the big bass love it.

Thank you for your question! This item does not float, instead it slowly sinks to the bottom.

What is a good hook size to use with this lure?
I'm looking to add this to my repertoire, and just don't know what size hook is best for this. I read about a 5/0 or 6/0, and would just like some input. Thank you!
Asked by: tobolamr
Thank you for your inquiry. I would use at least a 4/0 hook on these and even a 5/0 would work. I wouldn't advise going larger than a 5/0.
