The 320-pound main line measures 150' long, complete with 25 stainless steel trotline clips with size 1 brass swivels. The Deluxe Trotline also includes brass spacers spaced 4' apart, 25 4/0 hooks and 25 110-pound drop lines.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Elijah from Love those clips When you are running a trot line, these clips are great. Just pull them off the line and drop them in the boat until you get them all off. Then you can take the hooks out and put them back on the line. I was thinking the fish would slide them all over between the stops, possibly tangling other lines but that was not a problem. This thing worked like a champ. I didn't use the hooks that came with it but they looked ok.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ohyess from fish catcher bought 2 lines and they work great. 1 line was frayed a little but it caught 6 catfish (1 flathead 8 to 9 pounds),2 turtles,1gahr and did not break line, so they are good lines.Line was used on the Gasconade river in Missouri.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JXNMS from Make your own I have trotlined all my life. We catch big flatheads in the river by our deercamp. My experience with these were straightened out hooks. I dont trust the clamps either. I make my own using heavy barrel swivels and red circle hooks in either 5/0 or 6/0. You could replace the hooks that come with this trotline with the circle hooks, but I would rather custom make mine. For me, the circle hooks are a must. On each line I will put 2 or 3 handsized bream with the rest around the 3 finger size. The circle hooks keep the baitfish on and wont let a big cat off. When I was a kid my dad and uncle went the easy route with these pre-made trotlines and we only caught small yellows. Now that I put a little extra effort in, Im catching 15-20 lb yellows and big blues too.

Individual hook ties provided in package have many of there ends unraveling. Would recommend with reservation.........hooks will equire replacement in short period of time.

Only lost one of the metal hooks and that could have been my fault for not making sure it was secure when I ran the line. Simple to put out, run and take up. Fast! Love it. Will be purchasing more soon.

How does it work?

You have to purchase other products & replace downlines & I would recommend circle hooks instead of the hooks that come with it
