Great for the kayak fishing in salty waterI too have found these pliers to be fabu for saltwater kayak fishing. They are the perfect size, rugged, and resistant to the salt and everything else that comes with kayak fishing. These are cheaper and better than the pliers I used previously. If you are buying these in-store, I'd suggest that you make sure the jaws align perfectly, as I did note that a couple of them were ever-so-slightly out of alignment. That's probably not a big deal, but might make the braid cutter less effective.

Out LastingI'll keep it brief!! I fish saltwater mainly and as everyone know salt and metal don't mix well. This pair or Pliers has easily lasted me 4-5 times longer than any other pair of pliers. I kayak fish so it is always a wet fishing trip. These things are so good that I have had pliers that I never use sitting as backups start to rust. I use these Bass Pro Pliers almost daily with no rust. I do treat them to a little oil every now and again but not because they need it but because they have become like family. For the price and multiple years they have been working for me...you just can't go wrong. The only real signs of wear is the blades that I have used to cut both braid and Mono and I would not consider that a problem given how long they have been attached to my Kayak.
