Q&A
When fresh spawn isn't available, Atlas-Mike's® Sac Attack Imitation Cluster Eggs will get you the bites you need. In fact, some anglers prefer these over the real thing, especially when current, nuisance fish, or egg conditions won't allow your bait to stay in place. These plastic clusters are great for drift fishing for steelhead, salmon or trout, and extremely easy to use. Simply push a single hook through the egg cluster, and run your weight 18" to 24" up the line.

Better Options AvailableAlthough these sacs look decent in the water, the lack the natural drift and flutter in the water like real spawn does. Save your money or buy beads or real spawn.

Good Artificial RoeNothing beats actual salmon eggs but as far as artificial goes this meets the requirement. Stays on the hook well.

nice imitatiONI rarley use an artificial egg patter but I like to keep some around just in case and this stuff if the best I have seen for realism and buoyancy.

Miks Sac A ttack did not workPlenty of Salmon in Betsy River, but didn't improve the salmon catch
Atlas Sac Attacks do not float. However they are buoyant and will bounce along the bottom nicely when river fishing.

Can you use this for saltwater fishing too?
Asked by: Fishermun
figuring that salmon and steelhead run up a river to spawn you probably don't want to. but if fishing for fish like flounder than you can probably use it since they eat just about anything.
