The Armasight Vulcan 4.5X White Phosphor Gen 3 Night Vision Rifle Scope is a standalone night-vision scope with reticle that does not need an additional optic. White phosphor gives you unmatched contrast and clarity, leading to less eye-fatigue than traditional green NODs (Night Optical/Observation Devices). Gray scale, what many would call black and white, is naturally more appealing to the human eye due to how rods on our eyes work. With the quick-throw mounting lever, the NV unit can be attached or removed in seconds without the use of tools. Your Vulcan will include a wireless firearm-mounted remote, which allows the user to press a single button that brings the optic from a standby mode. This reduces movement and helps extend the battery life while not in full use. The Vulcan 4.5X uses a single AA battery or a single CR123 battery. This gives you some options like ditching the lithium 123 during air travel on a hunting trip, or staying consistent with batteries used in your other equipment. The Vulcan has an auto shutoff after 60 minutes with no input. Armasight gives you an auto gate feature that shuts the unit off to protect it from hazardous amounts of light and returns to an active state when the light is no longer an issue to the Image Intensifier Tube (IIT). The illuminated reticle has its own independent brightness adjustment to maintain contrast against targets and surroundings. The shockproof and weatherproof optic has multi-coated glass lenses for excellent light transmission and is filled with nitrogen to prevent fogging.
