Very versitleI bought this last year. I like it because it is compact and easy to use running and gunning. Also like the snake adapter to hang it up in my portable. I just bought a panner for it to use in a permy and be able to hook it up to a tv.

Simple & handy!After researching several models of cameras for ice fishing, I went for this model. I love how compact it is. The picture quality is excellent when the water conditions are adequate. Being able to drop the camera quickly AND being able to reel it up is AWESOME. You will want to get something to ‘hold’ the line of the camera in place once you get it down in the water. I almost wish I would have upgraded to the model with the built in recorder, but I just take video with my cell :) I have had the battery replaced by AquaVu once because the battery wouldn’t hold a charge. Second battery seems to hold up for 5-6 hours depending on how cold it is. Overall, I would recommend this camera to anyone wanting to enjoy seeing what’s going on under the ice!

A must buyI actually drop mine in the ice hole ( i know its was **** lol ) then i contacted aqua vu and told them i was so sad about it because i really loved my micro revolution 5.0 then i asked them if they could do something for me then the answer was YES hehe they gived me a 30 ish % on any product and i bought the micro revo pro and dam that unit is amazing on ice fishing its a must instead of wasting time in a hole that got no fish hehe and i strongly advice to get the pro instead or normal ... ull get a temperature and a direction of camera .... I'm advicing this unit hands down ...

Not as describedI have only used it once so I'm still getting used to it. On Cabela's website, the product description says that "screen features on-screen zoom and displays camera direction" . This unit has no such features. There is no mention of those features on aqua-vu's help website either.

What a blast!I haven’t had so much fun with the fishing technology in my life. Works completely as advertised. It almost replaced my flasher for ice fishing. We don’t have the clearest water here but the viewing range was completely adequate. I had the best luck pointing the camera straight down, looking at my bait and the fish from above. The very thin cable made it difficult to control panning around but next year I will remedy that with a turn table accessory. The only thing I would do differently, is to buy the Pro model so I could record the fun!

Had to return itAs soon as I got, I tried to charge it and it would not charge pass 2 red lines, I even left it charging for 48 hours and no changes. Aqua Vu told me to drain it, recharge it and it should be ok, did that twice and nothing changed.

Fantastic Fish-CamAfter several days of exhaustive research & hours of YouTube videos, I decided to buy the Revolution 5. I really like the portability, the fact that you can reel it up is awesome & the picture is great! You will want to get a swivel mount so you can be able to slowly move the camera left & right. I'm using it while ice fishing in water as deep as 50ft and the picture quality is excellent!
Does the charging cord come with the Micro 5.0 or is that an accessory that's an additional purchase.

That's a good question. The Aqua vu camera does not show the depth on the screen.

Do all the Aqua-Vu XD camera accessories (i.e., trolling fin, telescoping pole adapter, etc.) that fit the 715c camera also fit the camera of the Aqua-Vu Revolution? The Revolution camera appears to be down view only?

Hi, thank you for your inquiry. Per the manufacturer, the Revolution systems are approx 5.5" length by 4" width by 2.3" height. Yes, you can use this from any platform over water.
