The screen has a backlit display that turns on and off automatically, working in tandem with the power-save technology but retaining full memory; the display turns on anytime the handle is engaged, the spool turns, or when a fish bites, and turns itself off during inactivity. It's also adjustable for different pound-test lines, and features a handy DTT (Distance To Tip) warning system to alert the angler when the lure is getting too close to the rod tip.
