Description
Vortex Ranger 1800 Rangefinder with HCD
The Vortex® Ranger® 1800 is an easy-to-use rangefinder with a clean, uncluttered display and a highly intuitive menu. The Ranger 1800 accurately ranges targets from 9–1,800 yards. The unit functions in 3 different modes: Horizontal Component Distance (HCD) mode, scan mode, and Line of Sight (LOS) mode. HCD compensates for shooting from elevated positions or at elevated targets; LOS displays the actual distance to the target, regardless of terrain; and scan mode gives continuous updates on distance as user sweeps across varied terrain. A 6x magnification, and anti-reflective lens coatings that increase light transmission for sharp image quality so you can find your target quickly in heavy brush. Diopter adjustment allows for precise focus. Gas purged and O-ring sealing provides waterproof/fog-proof performance, and rubber armor exterior provides a secure, non-slip grip. The Vortex Ranger 1800 Rangefinder is compatible with a tripod adapter, and comes with a utility clip, lanyard, and soft carry case. Runs on 1 common CR2 battery (included). Manufacturer model #: RRF-181.

Great Product & Value!I have had several rangefinders over the years and all of them had the black reticle. Low light conditions in the early morning and at dusk proved ranging a bit more challenging. I cannot say that for the Vortex Ranger 1800. In the short time I have used it, I have ranged deer with nearly no light to speak of and the red reticle makes it easy to get yardage. The scanning feature is amazing as well. With the best warranty I have found, there is no question buying the Vortex Ranger 1800 is money well spent!

Very nice rangefinderI'm a hardcore Leupold fan, but after their rangefinder failed on me after 4 years and their warranty wouldn't cover it, I went with this Vortex. So far I'm very happy with it. It is instant readout at archery ranges and seems almost as quick at long range. Very clear images and adjustable readout is nice. Hope to use it a very long time and Vortex offers a lifetime warranty!! Sorry Leupold....I'll still buy your optics but no more electronics.

Easy and clearFirst time owning a rangefinder but this one is easy to set up and read. I shake a little so the scan mode works great and the magnification keeps all things clear. Good optics

Great Laser Range Finder for the Money! As a 3Gun competitor I need a good range finder to range targets out to 600y. The Vortex Ranger 1800 has not failed me yet. The 6x magnification allows me to get an idea of what each target will look like through my 1-6x LPVO before shooting. Coupled with the StrelokPro app, I get the information needed to get my hits. Best of all it’s back by the Vortex VIP Lifetime Warranty!

Better than mostPurchased for long range target determination. Unit is accurate but so small as to be difficult to stability hold. At 600 plus yards and a small target, a tripod is almost a necessity to hold and get a reading. The readout is excellent and the accuracy is great once I can zero in on the target. Most of my backstops are about five yards beyond my target, so the backstop serves very well, but in the field with no known distances, unsteadiness iis a problem, but it seems superior to its competition and carries by far the superior warranty..

Bowhunter RangefinderI have been a bowhunter for over 50 years and have owned numerous rangefinder's. This Vortex 1800 is the best I have ever used. Easy instructions, clear glass, extremely fast target readings, very bright, easy to read, no need to range more than once. And with the Vortex warranty you cannot go wrong. My previous rangefinder was the Nikon Prostaff 3E. And guess what, after 2 years I developed lens fungus, and impossible to disassemble and clean, and only a 2 year warranty. The cost of the Vortex and the lifetime warranty is the ticket. You will not be sorry you shelled out the money. It will be the last rangefinder you buy! Shinnbone
